Throughout the Bible, we read repeatedly: There is ONLY ONE GOD:
- Deuteronomy 4:35: “To you it was shown, that you might know that the LORD is God; there is no other besides him.”
- Deuteronomy 4:39: “The Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.”
- Deuteronomy 6:4-5: “The Lord our God is one Lord”
- 1 Kings 8:60: “the Lord is God, and that there is none else”
- 2 Kings 19:19: “Now, Lord our God, deliver us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone, Lord, are God.”
- Isaiah 43:10-11: “Before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.”
- Isaiah 44:6-8: “Thus saith the Lord…I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God…Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.”
- Isaiah 45:5-6: “I am the LORD, and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know me, that people may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides me; I am the LORD, and there is no other.”
- Isaiah 45:21-22: “There is no God else beside me…none beside me…I am God, and there is none else.”
- Isaiah 46:8-11: “I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning…Calling a ravenous bird from the east…I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.”
- Mark 12:32: “God is one and there is no other but him.”
- Romans 3:30: “There is only one God”
- 1 Corinthians 8:5-6 (referencing Deuteronomy 6:4-5?): “For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.”
- Galatians 3:20: “God is one.”
- 1 Tim. 2:5: “For there is one God”
- James 2:19: “You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.”
