Paul writes to a disciple, Timothy:
You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me…
2 Tim. 3:10-11
Notice that passing on teaching is the first in a list of 9 things named. Discipleship is clearly more than passing on teaching, but it is not less than this.
